NoBlues Community Services offers a short, supported stay away from your usual home — a proper break for you, and for the family and carers who support you every day.
“Short term respite — the new name for short term accommodation since late 2025 — gives you time apart from your usual care arrangements, and gives your primary informal supports a chance to recharge so they can keep caring. It covers accommodation, personal care and support, usually up to 28 days per year with a maximum of 14 days at a time.”
In plain terms
You stay somewhere comfortable and safe for a few nights, with support workers looking after the things your family or carers usually help with. You get a change of scenery and new faces. The people who care for you get a genuine rest.
